« back to blogJust as the Swedish pop star announced his new single we were given an open goal (excuse the pun) to come up with a press worthy story. What better tune to get our boys going then the Basshunter dance floor anthem. As we now know our boys didn’t too well, hopefully not down to their apparent taste in music (although Rooney’s favourite all time band is rumoured to be McFly). In the meantime though Basshunter is in prime position for a total summer smash. Since the Basshunter story we’ve witnessed a number of international footballers coming out declaring their love of British bands. Torres loves his Oasis and now it seems Messi can’t kick a ball without listening to a Kasabian tune first. Let’s hope for the sake of the Spanish that his iPod is working next week. We’ve yet to hear what the Dutch are listening to pre-match but its time for all the aspiring music PR’s out there with product to push to shine…
